Before Google Earth, we rely on aerial photos when we want to see specific places from the top view. These aerial imagery data are collected while riding an airplane. However, the height that the airplane can fly is very much limited. It’s very dangerous if the photos would be taken from a higher position than usual. The sky is the limit, but just figuratively speaking.

It seems the Internet will never run out of cool and interesting posts about the usefulness of Google Earth. This amazing software is really a product of pure ingenuity because it continuously creates and develops new innovations and applications to keep its users hooked. Who would have thought that almost all places on Earth would be visible to the naked eye someday? Even the photos of global maps when the Earth was still young are now displayed by Google Earth. Everyone can view satellite images and global maps through personal mobile phones these days. Through use of old map overlays on modern maps of today, people can learn about the many changes that mankind had inflicted to our world. Just read on to know more about Google Earth.

I’m always reading and researching and checking out what’s happening in the world of Google Earth, and satellite map technology in general. Occasionally I like to pass on what I’ve found…you know…to save you the trouble. And also to show how Google Earth compares with Earth from Orbit’s software. And also because I’m endlessly amazed at the creativity of people.
So without further ado…5 amazing things you can do with Google Earth:
1. Create A 3D Resume/CV, noting the locations of each prior place of employment, education, etc. It’s a really clever idea and you can check it out here. He claims to have created the first ever Google Earth resume. And that’s quite possibly true.

Here are few new articles I just found in my daily search for new cool stuff. A lot of people are enjoying Google Earth for a variety of reasons, and rightly so. Wait until they get their hands on Earth from Orbit! Anyway, without further ado, here are the articles I found today…
1. This isn’t a new article, but I like it for its passionate viewpoint about Google Earth. The writer, Brandon, had just discovered Google Earth at this time and was pretty smitten with it, explaining all the places he’d looked up in the few hours after downloading it. Some really nice photos on here, as well. Pretty much all the questions he had at the time of the writing have all been answered or solved by Google Earth at this point. Read the entire article here.

I found a few really interesting posts about Google Earth today and I thought I’d share them with you. As awesome as Google Earth is, I’m pretty certain our Earth from Orbit software will give it a run for its money.
